Capabilities
- Meeting Facilitation
- TSASS staff can assist you in establishing local safety information system goals and
implementation methodologies. This can be done with TSASS acting as a meeting
facilitator to aid in the timely and efficient identification of the information needs of
your community.
-
- Traffic Safety Information System / Injury Surveillance System Design
- Our staff can assist in the design of your local information system with an emphasis
upon tailoring the system to the particular needs and capabilities of the local community
program participants. Where possible existing data systems will be integrated and
linked to reduce the need for data conversion and minimize system maintenance demands.
-
- Community Safety Assessment / Community Community Profile Development
- Using information from local and state sources we can help your Safe Community Program
produce the Community Profile that serves as a basis for the local planning process.
If desired, we can take the Profile a step farther, providing a Safety Assessment
Report to aid your community members in establishing a direction for the local program.
-
- Program Evaluation
- Finally, TSASS can assist your community program in the design of an evaluation program
as well as the interpretation of the year-end data to aid in preparing your NHTSA-required
annual report.
-
- General Technical Assistance
- Some programs are blessed with resident staff that are capable of performing most of the
above major tasks, but due to workload or other conditions, they may not be in a position
to perform all of the analyses or specific sub-tasks that are involved in the data system
and data manipulation within a Safe Community program. TSASS is there to provide
short-term, specific task assistance where you need a "Temp" that knows traffic
safety and injury surveillance systems.
